The positions are full-time, 5 day week, Monday-Saturday, 9 am-5 pm, with extended hours in peak season, based at our Millhouse and Home Store and Headquarters.

INVENTORY CLERK

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Inventory Clerk is responsible for managing, handling, recording and maintaining inventory and its movement verifying all incoming and outgoing shipments.

The role is very practical and extremely hands-on, You will work alongside Inventory Admin and Store sales manager putting your skillset to work, You will maintain an efficient and organized warehouse where products are stored according to specification. The role requires general upkeep of the work area observing safety and security procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  •  Responsible for receipt of all incoming and outgoing shipments and deliveries.
  •  Offloading containers.
  •  Unpacking and tagging/labelling inventory.
  •  Maintains physical inventories, cycle counts, ensuring proper stock rotation.
  • Performing quality checks of incoming and outgoing inventory.
  • Examines items for defects, wear or damage, and reports this information.
  •  Safeguarding and organization of inventory and warehouse equipment.
  •  Daily physical upkeep and cleaning of warehouse.
  •  Overseeing, supporting and delegating daily warehouse duties.
  •  Handling customer queries and complaints as it relates to warehouse and deliveries.
  •  Resolving warehouse related problems, inclusive of POS & maintenance.

QUALIFICATIONS

  •  Minimum of 2 years experience in a warehouse or retail environment.
  •  Mathematical and analytical skills.
  •  Computer Savvy. Proficient in use of Microsoft Office.
  •  Knowledge and experience with Point-of-sale systems. and inventory control.
  •  Physical strength and stamina.

WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for assisting with the movement of inventory in warehouse and store.

The role is very practical and extremely hands-on, You will work alongside Inventory clerk and Store sales manager putting your skillset to work,

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  •  Assist with the receipt of all incoming and outgoing shipments and deliveries.
  •  Offloading containers.
  •  Heavy lifting and furniture handling.
  •  Unpacking and tagging/labelling inventory.
  •  Assembling furniture and products.
  •  Light furniture repairs.
  •  Performing quality checks of incoming and outgoing inventory.
  •  Examines items for defects, wear or damage, and reports this information.
  •  Daily physical upkeep and cleaning of warehouse.
  •  Picking orders and assisting in the restocking of the store.
  •  Installing and moving items when store is remerchandising.

QUALIFICATIONS and SKILL SET

  •  Minimum of 2 years experience in a warehouse or retail environment.
  •  Mathematical and analytical skills.
  •  High attention to detail, accuracy in picking and packing.
  •  Highly Organized.
  •  Ability to work under pressure
  •  Physical strength and stamina.
  •  Being a fixit.
